Installation Guide

Install EcomCloser in minutes and start selling with Product AI on every WooCommerce product page.

Setup & activation

This page explains how to install the EcomCloser plugin, activate your license, and verify it’s working. If anything doesn’t match your setup, email us at info@ecomcloser.com and include screenshots + your site URL.

Before you start (requirements)

WordPress + WooCommerce

  • WordPress site with admin access.
  • WooCommerce installed and activated.
  • HTTPS enabled (recommended).
  • Outbound requests allowed (site can reach EcomCloser CORE).

Checkout / license delivery

  • Use an account at checkout (recommended).
  • Make sure transactional emails work (WP mail or SMTP).
  • Your license key is sent to the billing email after successful payment.
  • Keep your email address correct: info@ecomcloser.com.

Important: If you allow guest checkout for plan purchases, the license cannot always attach to a user automatically. Best practice: require login / account creation for plan checkout.

Install in 5 steps

Download the plugin ZIP

Download the ZIP file to your computer (do not unzip it).

File example: ap-product-ai-sales.zip

Upload to WordPress

In WordPress Admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP and click Install Now.

Then click Activate.

Open EcomCloser settings

Go to WordPress → EcomCloser (or WooCommerce → Settings → EcomCloser depending on your build). You will see the plugin configuration and license screen.

Add your license key

Paste your license key and click Activate. Your key is emailed after payment to the billing email address.

If you bought a plan: license key arrives by email automatically. If you don’t see it, check Spam/Promotions, then email info@ecomcloser.com from the same email used at checkout.

Verify it works on a product page

Open any WooCommerce product page and look for the Product AI chat CTA/button/widget. Start a conversation and verify it answers with real product data (variants, stock, shipping).

Common issues (fast fixes)

I don’t see the chat button on product pages

  • Make sure the plugin is activated.
  • Check plugin settings: CTA placement / widget enabled.
  • Clear cache (WordPress cache, server cache, CDN).
  • Temporarily disable other plugins that modify product templates to test conflicts.

License activation fails

  • Double-check you copied the full license key.
  • Ensure your site can reach the internet (firewall / hosting rules).
  • If your hosting blocks outbound requests, allow requests to EcomCloser CORE.
  • If you changed domains, you may need to re-activate on the new domain.

For faster support, email us: include your domain, WP version, Woo version, and a screenshot of the error.

Email with license didn’t arrive

  • Check Spam / Promotions tabs.
  • Confirm the billing email used at checkout.
  • If your site uses SMTP, confirm outgoing email is configured correctly.
  • Email info@ecomcloser.com from the same billing email and include your order details.

Advanced setup (optional)

Recommended: SMTP

For reliable license delivery emails, use an SMTP plugin (e.g., WP Mail SMTP). This reduces spam issues and improves deliverability.

Caching & performance

If you use caching plugins or CDNs, exclude dynamic endpoints used by the chat widget and license checks. After changing settings, purge cache.

Support data we may ask for

When troubleshooting, we may ask for your WooCommerce System Status report and the browser console/network error screenshot.
